Live Journal oh Live Journal Why have I neglected you so?

Oct. 1st, 2006 | 08:44 pm

Could it be that I've been cheating on you with myspace? Could it be that I'm really getting sick of not being able to really customize you? Will I ever post to you again? Of course I will. Why the hell not. It's not like I can't do all three?

Alrighty folks....
Images will be available soon but now I have a few projects off the needles.
1 Purse for friend
2 Hat for another friend
3 My Worry scarf (no pic avail)
4 House shoes

That's all for now. I've not had the opportunity to upload any of the pics to the web. I've been dancing with the crazies.
I am exhausted now so I'll retire for the night.

Weird and strange things happening.

Jun. 11th, 2006 | 04:02 pm

Greetings live journal readers. I have finally had the opportunity to update my LJ. For the past week I've been relaxing, knitting and laying out by the pool in Raleigh NC. I had a blast because for the first time I've been able to just chill. Amazing huh? I'm not the kind of gal that usually just sits around with my knitting on vacation. Usually I'm trying to find a way to get out and go hit some bars, but this time I didn't. Go me huh?
I did find my fav charrdonnay at Harris Teeter. Amazingly enough, I did get out to one wine store called Total Wine and they didn't have it! I couldn't believe it! A grocery store carried my wine but a wine store the size of a grocery store full of nothing but wine didn't carry it! Better yet, when I first discovered my wine, Mandrarosa, I found it at a little store in Birmingham for $20 a bottle. That store is no longer there. At Harris Teeter it was $7.99. I was shocked needless to say and all week I was drinking my wine! I bought a total of 5 bottles and brought 2 back home. he he he.

I arrived home on 6/6/06 to crazy events that have left me feeling weird. So I've been trying to move the weird aside and clean clean clean to try to keep my mind off of it. It hasn't been very successful though. Oh Well. I guess flying home on 6/6/06 caused the weirdness.

Cheers......

I had a blast this weekend!!!!!

May. 8th, 2006 | 10:43 pm
mood: cheerfulcheerful

There's nothing like a 60% chance of storms, listening to great bands, and the smell of crawfish to start your weekend right!!

Friday I went to the Schafer Crawfish Boil down town.Nat Mikey Ashley and cousin Eric all of us hung out at the boil. I had so much fun that my calves are still aching!! I only went friday night!! I wish I could have brought my digi cam. I did have batteries for it too. Isn't that always my luck?
That's what you get when you are 28, out of shape, and excited as hell to see some awesome bands play. I was dancing and drinking, and dancing then eating! I had so much fun! Jack Schaffer thought he knew me. He was walking by and looked dead at me. I hollered to him "Hello Dr. Jack Schaffer!" and he smiled and said "Hey Good to see you".
To all those who do not live in Birmingham, you don't know who the hell I"m talkin about but he is one who throws this annual festival.
I end up seeing better bands at the Crawfish boil than I do City Stages which spans the entire weekend, has more bands and is more expensive.
Here was the line up Friday Night:
1. was supposed to be blue October but instead was a crappy england band. Happens when folks cancel
2. GIN BLOSSOMS--They were fucking awesome!!! I had soooo much fun dancing and singing along! (Pictured)
3. COWBOY MOUTH--Kick Ass pump you up full of energy even if you don't have any kind of band. These guys come every year and I LOVE THEM.
4. SISTER HAZEL--Great. I know a couple of their songs
5. BLUES TRAVELLER---They Kicked Ass! IT was as if I transformed to my high school years! I danced and danced eventhough my legs were about to fall off after dancing along to Cowboy mouth & the Gin blossoms.

The Gin Blossoms taken by my camera Phone!!!
Gin Blossoms!!!

The Coolest thing I encountered there was the Cooler Scooter! You just have to see it for yourself!
CoolerScooter

I didn't go Saturday. It actually rained that night. Friday was so perfect. Not too cold not hot & not raining.
cheers!!

Got the yarn but........

May. 4th, 2006 | 09:41 am
mood: cheerfulcheerful

I've encountered a problem with my new project, the yarn I bought. Silly me decided at the spurr of the moment to buy the yarn that was on sale instead of the same fiber content of the yarn in the pattern. So ........... Here is a pic of the yarn. Bare with the pic I took it with my camera phone at work. LOL. This is a very strange almost delicate yarn. The original pattern for Razor back needs a Nylon stretchy yarn & here I went & bought this yarn just because it was on sale. I can make it work though. I'm just doing the largest size in the pattern. Blah ha ha! I love novelty yarns like this, but it has been a challenge even when I was making the swatch! LOL Well back to work folks! Let me know what you think!
